THNIC and thDNS: connect a .th domain to AlphaBlue

A safety-first path for changing a THNIC domain's DNS settings or adding a Pages CNAME through thDNS.

Use this guide for a .th or .ไทย domain managed directly through THNIC and, where applicable, its thDNS service. If an authorized reseller manages the domain, contact that reseller because the menus and approval process may differ.

Thai domains can have registrant and eligibility requirements in addition to DNS settings. Do not transfer, change the holder or alter registration documents as part of this DNS task.

Provider instructions last verified: 7 September 2026, against THNIC’s public domain-management instructions and thDNS user manual.

Before choosing a path

  1. Sign in to the THNIC domain management account.
  2. Find the domain and open ตั้งค่า DNS (DNS settings).
  3. Capture the current nameservers and record list.
  4. Confirm whether thDNS is active or an authorized reseller／third party operates DNS.
  5. Tell AlphaBlue about thMail or any other domain email.

If the provider or owner is unclear, stop here.

Path A: let AlphaBlue manage DNS

Continue only after AlphaBlue confirms the Cloudflare zone, copied records and DNSSEC plan.

  1. Open the domain-management page for the exact domain.
  2. Select ตั้งค่า DNS.
  3. Locate the control for changing the domain’s nameservers, not the thDNS form for adding an ordinary NS record to a subdomain.
  4. Replace the current authoritative values with the two exact Cloudflare nameservers supplied by AlphaBlue.
  5. Enter nameserver hostnames, not IP addresses.
  6. Save or submit the request according to the account workflow.
  7. Capture the resulting nameserver values or request status and send it to AlphaBlue.

If THNIC directs you to an authorized reseller, do not try to bypass it. Contact the reseller and AlphaBlue.

Path B: keep thDNS and add a Pages CNAME

Continue only after AlphaBlue registers the subdomain in Pages and sends the exact record card.

  1. Open the thDNS record manager for the domain.
  2. Review records for the exact subdomain label supplied by AlphaBlue.
  3. If an A, AAAA, CNAME or another binding already uses it, stop.
  4. Choose the form for a CNAME record.
  5. Enter the exact subdomain label in Name (ชื่อ).
  6. Enter the exact <project>.pages.dev hostname in Data (ข้อมูล).
  7. If thDNS requires a fully qualified domain name ending in a period, follow the current form guidance or AlphaBlue instruction; do not add one merely by guessing.
  8. Leave TTL at the recommended default unless AlphaBlue supplies a value.
  9. Save the record and send a screenshot to AlphaBlue.

Stop and contact AlphaBlue if

  • the domain is under an authorized reseller;
  • the account displays ns-inactive.thnic.co.th or another inactive/default state;
  • you cannot distinguish domain nameservers from a subdomain NS record;
  • THNIC asks for registration evidence or holder changes;
  • thMail, DNSSEC or another active service appears;
  • the CNAME form changes the supplied target.
