Hostinger: change nameservers or add a Pages CNAME

Use hPanel's Domain portfolio and DNS/Nameservers area without resetting existing records.

Hostinger uses different entry points for domain-only customers and customers with web hosting. Always start from the domain’s current nameservers: if they point elsewhere, records edited in Hostinger may not be active.

Hostinger’s DNS history can replace the whole zone during a restore. Do not use Restore or Reset DNS Records while following this guide.

Provider instructions last verified: 7 September 2026, against Hostinger Help Center pages updated in August/September 2026.

Path A: let AlphaBlue manage DNS

  1. Wait for AlphaBlue to confirm the Cloudflare zone and copied records are ready.
  2. Sign in to hPanel.
  3. Open DomainsDomain portfolio.
  4. Select Manage beside the correct domain.
  5. Select DNS / Nameservers in the left sidebar.
  6. Find the current nameservers and select Change Nameservers.
  7. Enter the two exact Cloudflare nameservers supplied by AlphaBlue.
  8. Save and complete any account verification.
  9. Capture the saved nameserver screen and send it to AlphaBlue.

Do not restore DNS history or reset records. Once nameservers point to Cloudflare, the active records are managed there rather than in Hostinger.

Path B: keep Hostinger DNS and add a Pages CNAME

First confirm that the current nameservers are Hostinger’s. If they point elsewhere, stop and edit the actual DNS provider instead.

For a domain-only account:

  1. Open DomainsDomain portfolioManage.
  2. Select DNS / Nameservers.
  3. Open the DNS records tab.

For a hosting account, the active editor may be under Websites → select the site → AdvancedDNS Zone Editor.

Then:

  1. Search for the exact hostname supplied by AlphaBlue.
  2. If an A, AAAA, CNAME, ALIAS or website-builder record already uses it, stop.
  3. In Manage DNS Records, choose CNAME.
  4. Enter the exact Name and <project>.pages.dev target from the AlphaBlue card.
  5. Keep TTL at the provider default unless instructed otherwise.
  6. Select Add Record.
  7. Capture the saved record and send it to AlphaBlue.

Stop and contact AlphaBlue if

  • Hostinger shows that nameservers point to another provider;
  • the DNS Zone Editor is unavailable;
  • the domain is connected to Hostinger Website Builder at the requested hostname;
  • an existing record conflicts;
  • hPanel offers to reset or restore the DNS zone.
